Postdocs at the Environmental Institute (also known as Climate Fellows) work intensively on a variety of research topics alongside cross-disciplinary UVA faculty.
This research showcase will highlight some of the important research they have been undertaking over the last two years. Topics include innovative explorations of artificial intelligence tools and models for flood and other weather event predictions, how green zones influence better health outcomes, studies that could produce new insights on sustaining Arctic housing infrastructure, and how housing policies influence climate-friendly affordable housing.
Participating postdocs will each give a three-minute oral presentation, to be followed by a poster presentation, where participants can answer questions and provide direct feedback.
This promises to be a generative research experience: those in attendance will learn about new cutting-edge research in environmental resilience and sustainability and the Climate Fellows will benefit from insights and feedback.
